The Best Answers to Difficult TopicsHave you ever been asked by an IELTS examiner to write an essay on difficult topics? Some topics are more difficult than others. As an IELTS student I thought that the hardest questions in my tests were always the difficult ones. Fortunately there are some ways to help you come up with good answers on hard topics.
Easy or easier questions are more difficult than difficult topics. I recently wrote an essay on religious belief. It was difficult because it had so many difficult issues to address, but for a regular IELTS student it is not too hard. The essay tackled the question of religious beliefs. The essay outlined why people believe what they do and included interesting ideas about how religions came into being and evolved. For a regular IELTS student this is probably one of the easiest topics to write about and can be used as a model for any other type of difficult topic. There are some other questions on difficult topics which may cause a student difficulty. The most common of these is probably their English level. If the student is struggling with his or her English he or she should go into a teacher and discuss the topic, it may be that the student does not understand the topic at all, or will not be able to do justice to the idea. Of all the difficult topics I have worked on I have found that asking questions is the best. It is always good to find out more about the topic before you tackle it. This can help when you are stuck on a topic, especially if you are new to writing about difficult topics. You may need to rephrase your question in a different way so that you are not too vague about the subject. When trying to come up with questions, make sure that the essay you write has a beginning, middle and end. The conclusion should clearly indicate why the topic is so difficult. If the essay has an ending that is too vague it can become confusing. There are also few ways to beat difficult topics. One way is to cut the essay down to three pages. All the points you make should be able to fit on one page. This will help you answer the questions that will arise during the test. Sometimes it can help to write all the difficult topics as questions first. That way you have a much clearer head on paper when you do the essay. Once you have answered the questions, you should get them all written in as a single piece. It is better to tackle the hardest questions first and then progress through the other ones.
